COL (Ret) Carol A. Huebner

COL (Ret) Carol Huebner is an experienced health care professional. Her background is in military healthcare, leadership, financial education, academia, and executive nursing practice. She served as a U.S. Army officer 1971 to 2001, in military medical treatment facilities, training centers, and senior staff assignments. She earned a PhD in Nursing from the University of MD at Baltimore.  She is a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College, Command and General Staff College and the Army War College. Her final military position was as Chief Nurse Executive for the world-wide U.S. Army Medical Command. After retiring, she served on the faculty of the UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing as department chair and faculty in healthcare economics and financial management, retiring as Professor Emerita. Carol has extensive governing board experience in higher education, faith-based organizations, a pension and benefits board, UT System Foundation, and as an officer in national health care professional associations. Since 2020, Carol served 4 terms as Secretary of the ARC Resident Council. She and her husband LTC (Ret) Michael Huebner joined the ARC community in 2015.
