Achim Barrow, FMP

Achim Barrow, FMP has been the Director of Dining Services at the Army Residence Community since July 2016. As the Senior Director of Dining Services for Morrison Community Living, the food/beverage vendor to the ARC, Achim brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in senior living food management. He is certified by the National Restaurant Association as a Foodservice Management Professional. Achim grew up in Germany and started his career managing NCO and Officer’s Clubs, including a hotel located on the scenic Danube River. After moving to San Antonio, he worked for the San Antonio Country Club, opened several steak houses, including his own the “Crystal Steak House.” He spent 10-years working at the AT&T Center Arena, serving the San Antonio Spurs and one year with the Kansas City Chiefs. Achim has supported many prestigious events, including the US Open and the NBA Commissioners Parties during NBA Finals. Achim is bringing a new culinary experience to the ARC. His “outside-the-box” thinking and innovative approach brings the ARC to a new level, competing with high end steak houses and exclusive country clubs.
