Lt. Colonel Dick Crabtree graduated cum laude with a BA Degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO. He received an MA from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and a Juris Doctor (Law Degree) from the University of Denver College of Law. He also graduated from the Korean Language School at the Defense Language Institute, Monterey, CA.
Dick was a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) and the Defense Investigative Service (DIS) throughout his Air Force career. He commanded OSI and DIS Field Units in South Korea, Boston, Illinois, and Panama. Dick attended Law School after retiring from the Air Force and practiced Veterans Law, Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Probate in Colorado for 20 years.
Dick and his wife of 56 years, Cathy, moved from Colorado to the ARC in August 2020. They have one son and two grandchildren. Since arriving at the ARC, they have both been actively involved in volunteer activities and serving on various committees to benefit ARC residents and staff. Dick has served as the Alternate and Primary Quebec Street Representative on the Resident Council.
