COL (Ret) Carol Huebner is an experienced health care professional. Her background is in military healthcare, leadership, academia, and executive nursing practice (CENP). She served as a U.S. Army Nurse Corps officer from 1971 to 2001, in military medical treatment facilities, training centers, and senior staff assignments. She earned a PhD in Nursing from the University of MD at Baltimore and is a graduate of the Army War College. Her final military position was as Chief Nurse Executive for the world-wide U.S. Army Medical Command. After retiring as a Colonel, she then served 13 years on the faculty of the UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing as department chair, retiring as Professor Emerita of Nursing. She has extensive governing board experience in higher education, faith-based organizations, and national health care professional associations. Since 2020, Carol served 4 terms as Secretary of the ARC Resident Council. She and her husband LTC (Ret) Michael Huebner joined the ARC community in 2015.
