In the event of a power outage, the ARC utilizes multiple backup generators to power the High Rise, the Health Care Center (HCC), Cheever Chapel, Wellness Center, and the Lakeside main building. Backup power is limited to lighting of: common areas, corridors, and stairwells. Emergency outlets are marked in red and in limited locations. Cottages do not have backup power.
