Residents and guests are expected to dress in good taste. Smart, casual attire is recommended for noon and evening meals in the Bluebonnet Dining Room and at Water’s Edge. The following guidelines were suggested by Residents and approved by the Resident Council:
For Men: Slacks, collared shirts, Guayabera shirts, turtlenecks/mock turtlenecks, and sweaters are appropriate for men. Coats (with or without tie) are always welcome. Men’s hats/caps may not be worn in the Bluebonnet Dining Room or Water’s Edge at any time.
For Women: Casual dresses, slacks, and pantsuits are appropriate for women.
For All: Clean jeans without ragged edges or holes are acceptable. Knee length shorts, such as Bermuda shorts, are acceptable at breakfast and lunch. However, shorts are not acceptable at brunch or evening meals. In addition, flip-flops (shower-style), T-shirts, and sweatsuits may not be worn in the Bluebonnet Dining Room or Water’s Edge at any time.
For Children: Children under the age of 13 are permitted to wear shorts to any meal.
In addition to the standard dress code, cell phones should be silenced while in the Bluebonnet Dining Room or Water’s Edge. Calls should not be made or answered until leaving the dining area.
It is not the responsibility of Dining Services to enforce these policies.
Those Residents unable to abide by these policies are encouraged to have meals delivered or dine at the Quinn Becker Bistro.
