Private duty employees hired by Residents to perform work within the ARC campus are required to contact the Resident Services office prior to employment. Residents will need to include the following information about the prospective employee: name of Resident(s), hours of employment, emergency contact information, and registration of employee vehicle. This information is retained by the Resident Services department. A picture identification badge will also be issued at this time. Identification badges must be worn during employment for private hire employees and is necessary to gain entry to the community. Private employees will be assessed a nominal processing fee to cover administrative expenses.
Additionally, it is the Resident’s responsibility to ensure completion of all mandatory background checks including: the State of Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the state misconduct registry. If the Resident resides in the HCC, three background checks are required: the State of Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the misconduct registry, and a national background check. It is the Resident’s responsibility to ensure this registration has been accomplished. The Resident Services department will assist in obtaining the background check for all private service providers in the community.
