Employee Moonlighting

The ARC permits Residents to hire IL employees as an independent contractor during off-duty times to perform services not provided by the facility. It is prohibited for employees in the HCC and AL. Immediate supervisors of employees must give written approval to employees prior to performing any requested service. ARC tools and property may not be used for services performed during off-duty hours for Residents. A waiver and release of liability must be signed by the Resident requesting services of an off-duty ARC employee. This waiver will be retained in the Resident Services office. Moonlighting is only approved for employees who enter into an agreement with Residents in Independent Living.
