COL (Ret) Rick Wright

Resident

COL (Ret) Rick Wright graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1968 and was commissioned as an Infantry Officer. During his distinguished 24-year career, he served in command and staff assignments in the United States, Vietnam, and Panama. In addition to Infantry assignments, he also served in several personnel management assignments. His final assignment prior to retirement was as the Director of Personnel for U.S. Army South in Panama. For the next 27 years he worked for the Institute for Defense Analyses in Alexandria, Virginia - 12 years as a researcher conducting studies, analyses, assessments, and evaluations for the Department of Defense; and 17 years as the business manager for the Intelligence Analyses Division supporting the DoD and the Intelligence Community by providing analyses of critical intelligence issues affecting national security. He holds an MPS degree in Counseling from Western Kentucky University.

Rick and his wife Anne have lived at the ARC since January 2020. Since moving to the ARC, he has been involved in the BOD Strategic Planning sub-committee, the ARC Protestant Chapel, the ARC Kiwanis, a Sponsor Program volunteer, the Traveling Treasures team, and the Texas Ramp Project.
